one of my favorite tony soprano quotes from HBO's hit series 'The Sopranos' goes like:

'no where else in this world do people expect to be happy except in this country'

... or something like that.

it is so true though. the whole world is watching the devastation down south and the whole world is shaking its head at the barbaric display that are caught on camera.
thieves.
rapists.
terrorists (coz if you're running around with guns, shooting at people who are trying to help, that makes you a terrorist).

all americans.

the tsunami in asia which killed God-knows how many innocent people didn't yield such animosity. people lost everything - homes, pets, loved ones - yet you didn't see them attacking each other. you didn't hear them screaming on cameras blaming everyone else. you didn't see them demanding - not asking but demanding - for help. you didn't see them pissed off at life, at God, at everybody else. they were simply helpless. and they welcomed and embraced everyone and everything that is offered to them for help.

it's a bit embarassing that the citizens of a supernation like America would react this way. we go around to civilize and educate third world countries yet the happenings down south is not what one would expect from a civilized nation.

it is true, america has been a laughing stock in other countries because of the actions that we have taken in the past few years. what do you think this makes us now?
