how can you possibly understand?

the happy wagging of their tails
as soon as you enter the room
their eyes light up when they hear your voice
forgetting the day's gloom
when days are rough they cheer you up
without asking for anything in return
when times are hard they stay by your side
your moods swings they soon will learn
you think they are not as precious as a child
but precious nonetheless
i love them dear, i love them so
they deserve nothing less
