my thoughts. exactly. |
July 01, 2005 misconceptions - i do want to have kids. someday. not today. not in the immediate future. i do imagine myself being a parent to atleast(/atmost?) one kid. whenever i visit trish and rol's website, i love reading about the times they spend with their new son, alex. i love looking at pictures they take of him. they've always been responsible people, but i love the fact that they are even more responsible now that they have 'his cuteness' in their lives. i wish to be that someday... someday... but for now, i'm too selfish to have a kid in my life. - i don't think i'm a shi-shi frou-frou 9-dollar-cake-the-size-of-my-butthole fusion place in NYC person. i don't have a problem eating at a hole-in-the-wall place anyday. in fact, one of my fave things to do whenever i'm in the city is buy a hotdog from those hotdog cart vendors, and eat it while window shopping or while sitting at a stoop or a bench somewhere. however, once in awhile i do enjoy checking out the many great restaurants of new york, specially new ones, and pay however much they charge for the experience of dining there. - i love to travel. it's one of the many aspects of my job that i really do enjoy. being able to visit different places, specially ones that i've never been to before. but this fact doesn't warrant my friends to say to me "you don't like being home". i like being home. i LOVE being home. i love lazy days with lj and tiny and the cats when all we do is watch movies. i love working on my garden. i love going for rides on our motorcycles. i love our weekend tradition of hitting up atlantique cafe and having brunch there. i love summer days when all i do is lie down on a folding bed in the backyard and read whatever book is interesting at the time. i love cooking in my kitchen however small it is. i love when friends drive three hours to spend time with us in our home. but just because i'm on the road a lot more than other people (which isn't even a lot compared to others), and because i have a good time and enjoy myself while travelling, doesn't mean i don't like spending time at home. - contrary to other's belief, i love doing things with lj. going out, travelling, hanging out, etc... but we can't do things together all the time. if i travel, i can't always take him with me coz he can't just take off from work. but he always has the option to go. if i hang out by myself, it's not (always) because he didn't want to go, or not because i didn't want to take him, but probably because he had other plans, or coz i'm going to a restaurant that serves mostly meat, or because it's an all-girls event, or he has to stay home with the dog, a sacrifice he does a lot so i can have fun. - i don't have a lot of mula. i do ok with my job. i splurge once in awhile. but this doesn't mean that everything i like are expensive. i bargain shop just like everyone. if i can afford to buy expensive things all the time, i would. but i can't. so i don't. but when i do want something, and it is something i absolutely need to have, i will work towards getting it. - WE're not rich. we don't come from rich families. in fact, lj and i realize that we both have to do everything on our own because we don't have parents to go to in case we run out of money or friends that will just buy things for us just because. we support each other. we work hard so we can afford the things we like. so we can buy each other nice things now and then. so we can dine in expensive restaurants if we want to. so we can go to different places that we both will enjoy. we paid for our own wedding. we bought our cars and our house with our own money. and will probably be buying our next bigger, better, house with no help from anyone else. unless one of our relatives or friends win the lottery and buy it for us. heh heh. - i type in lowercase, not to prove a point, or to act cool, but because i'm lazy. that is the truth. - this entry is nothing but to address any misconceptions out there. i'm sure there are others but we'll deal with these for now. everyone enjoy your weekend. i know i will.

hi, just blog hopping! misconceptions are just misconceptions until you confirm or correct them. for those who love to dwell on misconceptions and not the truth, then that's their problem! have a great weekend! play up on the misconceptions and go buck wild. i always thought you were a seven foot tall amazon with bronzen skin and a harem of menfolks (LJ is menfolk #1 tho, keep it real), a fleet of mercedes benzes, who lives in a shack on the hudson, a full-time bartender in the back, six fingers on one hand, and tiny nubs on your head where your devil horns used to be. you are the inspiration for hello kitty. but that's just me. i've always admired you for being financially independent and making it on your own (unlike moi). you and luke. you both kick-ass. muhahahahha!!! i love the five readers that i have!!!! (there's five of you, one just refuses to comment!) anyhoo... paz - welcome to my blog. thanks for the comment. i just hate having to explain myself... enjoy reading tho! voodizzle - you got most of it right except that i am 6'11". not quite the seven footer. *mwah* tintin - that's right, i can help them shove it too! kittykat - you're more financially, and more importantly, MENTALLY more stable than a lot of people i know. you rock in many ways possible!
