officially 29.
nope, not 30 yet. so don't expect anything profound from me just yet. infact, even when i turn that ripe age i highly doubt i'll have anything profound to say.

i do want to thank friends and acquaintances that remembered and took the time out to send me wishes. it means a lot.

i was feeling a bit nostalgic the day before my bday. i was away from my fam and i missed them so. they are a weird bunch, but who doesn't have a weird family nowadays? anyway, it helped to have friends and lj close by to help me celebrate a bit.

i spent part of my bday in miami and the rest of the time trying to get back home. the first half was spent with friends who were on a holiday with us. on monday night we picked up some meat to eat with the penne ala vodka (minus the vodka) and broccolli and mushroom sauteed in garlic and pine nuts that i made for dinner. we had some shiraz with that. and lots of gelato and random sweets. after stuffing ourselves, we went ahead and played some hold `em. as if on que, at around midnight kat turns and said 'what time is it' and as a response everybody started singing 'happy birthday'. a bit loud but they didn't care, afterall, we were on vacation.

this trip to miami was unlike the past trips there. for one, it was a diff crowd. kat and mark five were there of course, and so was lj. but we were also joined by the (comedic) karen, babs, vidya and vinu. we didn't hit the night scene except for the few times we tempted to but we were all defeated by the chaotic crowd that was present the same time we were there. oh welps. we didn't need to be in a club scene or expensive silly drinks to have fun. no alcohol needed. we had fun whatever we did or wherever we went. that's what makes good company anyway.

anyway, minus the fact that it took all of twelve hours to get back home, overall my bday was great. had fun with friends, got great gifts (an iPod shuffle from v and v, a bowl of pho from esteeb and some other mysterious gift he won't tell me about until i get it, art supplies from myself, some other gifts that friends told me they got me but since i've been away and will be away again come saturday i probably won't get it til i get back from arizona, and a sexy motorcycle with a sexy jacket to match it from lj), and a nice even tan, what else could i ask for?

oh, that's right. to have a great year before i turn 30.
