... and then there was none ...
this month has been filled with hanging out with old friends and making new ones. and i cannot remember the last time i have been this tired yet happy about the reason for being tired. it's been a blast.

at one point, there were nine of us hanging out at esteeb's tiny apartment, six were from out of town. we spent a lot of time laughing at each other and with each other. there were times spent at bars, at restaurants, at the streets of new york. there were also times when we were all so tired that we just sort of laid back, plugged googz' camera to the projector, and then laughed some more while we went through all the pictures that have been taken so far. all of these moments captured on camera.


but of course, we all had to say our goodbyes. the six out of towners had to go back to their lives. mikey left to head back to maryland after a couple of crazy, sleepless nights. and then there were five.

loni and paul flew back to london a couple of days after where more festivities for googz' 30th were waiting for them. and then there were three.

nathan, googzie's younger brother, took the long trip back to oz after meeting all of us for the first time yet hang out like he's known us all his life. and then there were two.

ed left for oz just two days ago after he's made an impression on all of us that you don't need to be gay to be graceful. and then there was one.

and ray, my good friend ray from oz who i've known and stayed in touch with for the past ten years, left just this morning, after he turned me and esteeb into geeks by takingus to see star wars last night/this morning. i must love this guy so much because (1) i hate going to the movie theater. in fact, i can't remember the last time i went to the theater to watch a movie (2) i have never gone to watch a movie on the first day because i hate having to deal with the obnoxious crowd that usually shows up (3) i have never lined up for any movie before yet there we were two hours before the movie started, waiting to get in to get some decent seats. but it was all worth it since it meant spending time with ray before he left new york.

and then there was none.

when i left esteeb's apartment this morning, it felt so empty. i kind of felt sad when i woke up esteeb to say goodbye and he whimpered as i headed towards the door 'i'm all alone again...'. in truth, esteeb will probably miss googz, and loni, and mikey, and nathan, and ray, and ed more than i'll miss them. but i'm sure we're equally looking forward to the next time we can get all these guys together again. and it'll just be as wonderful. we'll pick up, right where we left off.

Damn you G now I'll have to slab on a tonne of nivea Q10 eyecream before I hop in to bed or I risk waking up with puffy eyes after reading that post.

*cue sad music*

I wish I'd been able to hang around for a bit longer but the action packed four days is something I'll remember for ever...what awesome times. I can't thank you, LJ, mikey, stevie, ray, ed or nathan enough for helping to make it so memorable for my boy.
