Way Out.
you call me a bitch like there's something wrong with that.

            my thoughts.
                            exactly.

ok. i want my hair back. at first i thought i was digging this new haircut. then i thought i didn't care. but today i want my old style back. dammit, my hair better grow back soon. coz if not, i may be forced to get another haircut that i'll eventually hate.

this is EXACTLY why i needed someone to go with me to get a haircut.

anyway, i went out to dinner with kat and trish on friday. we got together, had some good food, drank some good (spiked) coffee, and had a rant/vent session over dinner and desserts. great to see both of them.

before i met up with trish and kat, i was at our friday night 'happy hour' ritual at P-ann's house. every friday, p-ann and i try to leave work as early as possible to hang out at her house and look at coupons while we drink vodka and lingonberry cocktails. don't ask me why we look at coupons but for some reason it'd be the only thing sitting on her dining table so while we down our drinks (which, for some reason, it's very hard to empty the glass - i think coz p-ann keeps on adding vodka in it), we just scan through them and actually find the experience entertaining (anything after a couple of drinks is entertaining apparently). at one point we cleared her bar and actually ran out of drinks so she had to re-stack - i really ought to contribute and buy her a couple of bottles!

spent an hour (or so?) on the phone with aud and riss yesterday just talking about random things like what we're going to be for halloween (elvira might be out of the question for me coz of the boobs issue), who's entitled to eat the XX days old coconut ice cream in riss' fridge, threesomes and who are qualified candidates to participate, justice league/marvel comics underwears (i want them), etc... all these while both riss and aud prepared their lunches and smoked together (while they were at their respective homes - i know, weird). at one point, i had to put them on mute so i could go to the bathroom. eventually we all had to get off the phone only because both their phones were running out of juice.

last night on the way home i stopped by walmart to pick up some shelving unit for my basement. (wow, this must be the fifth walmart-related post i've had this year alone! i'm crossing over to the dark side!) anyway, while there i found myself wandering at the toys section coz i saw this kid walking around holding a matchbox set of justice league cars. so i followed him and his mom who kept on telling him to put back the toy. it took awhile for that little brat to finally put it back on the shelf at which point i pounced on it. i then called riss to verify with her if she already has that specific set. she doesn't, so i put it in the cart. while i had her on the phone, she also told me that she's still missing a couple of the hotwheels justice league cars so i went on and searched for those but only found the batman car. that went in the cart as well. like mike j., i hate meandering in stores like walmart so after i triple-checked the hotwheels section for any other misplaced justice league cars, and after i browsed through the carebears section for aud's carebear, i paid and ran out of there with a quickness. i'm pretty disappointed that i didn't find the rest of the justice league cars for riss, and that the only green carebears they had at that walmart was so dirty it was almost gray instead of green so i ended up not buying it. but atleast i got my shelves, which is what i went for in the first place.

anyway, when i got home i was surprised to see part of my driveway covered in firewood. i ordered firewood on saturday to be delivered yesterday. and i asked them specifically to put it on the concrete slab. instead, they got authority from 'someone' to just dump it where they did. so that's what lj and i did last night when i got home - stack a truck load of firewood from one part of the driveway to the concrete slab where they should have been put in the first place. let me tell you, firewood is heavy. some of them were a good 20 lbs or more! and we had to move atleast 500 of those - no exaggeration. i eventually grew a brain during the process and started loading the wheelbarrow with firewood so instead of carrying 20 pds i ended up carrying atleast 100 lbs each time. so besides the workout i got from the gym yesterday, there's also lifting wood. damn, i better have good arms soon.

me: this stack of wood better last the entire winter
lj: you think?
me: it better. i'm only agreeing to do this kind of labor once a year.
lj: really? that's good, coz i'm not planning to do this again. so YOU can do it next year.

i gave him the glare.
