Some things are not worth worrying about.
Or some people for that matter.

There's atleast one person in each of our lives that we care so much about. We worry for their well being. We hope, for them, only the very best.

And then it hits you.

What an ass.

You step back away from the pedestal that you have put this person on and suddenly you can see what everyone else has been seeing all this time. Suddenly there is reason behind the name calling coming from the crowd, the same crowd that have told you to run, run away, as fast as you can.

Your 'muse' is a fake. All of a sudden, you can see right through. What used to be translucent has become absolutely transparent. And all the ugliness is exposed.

Suddenly your reason for insecurities are no more. Instead, it uplifts you. It makes you feel more complete. Successful. Beautiful.

And then you laugh. You laugh hysterically now because you have come to the realization that you are worth more than a nod, a drink, a quickie. You see someone else in their arms and this should hurt you. But you look closer and instead it exalts you. Both of them combined are nothing compared to you. Nothing.

You move on laughing. And that person realizes what they've done. They call out your name. Pleading, begging for you to come back. But its too late. All they can hear is your laughter, slowly disappearing in the distance.

inspired by a good friend - you go on and move on. These people are not worth it
