It doesn’t matter what you do. You could be the leader of the most profitable company in the entire world. You could be a celebrated athlete and have your face plastered on every well known sports magazine. You could be a banker and know your way around the financial industry. You could be a nun, a mother, a daughter. You could be a cop, a firefighter, a soldier. It doesn’t matter. You are only respectable in the way you treat people.

Some people think that their stature in the society buys them every right to use, hurt, and abuse others. They manipulate people who are in need. They target people who are vulnerable. They are like predators, manning their prey’s every move - ready to strike as soon as they recognize a weakness. These people are nothing but opportunistic leeches.

Unfortunately, it’s not very easy to distinguish this kind of people from everyone else. Most of them have mastered the art of deception. Their intentions are usually disguised. You don’t know that you’re a victim until its too late. That is when you’ve given them everything and anything they may want from you – your wealth, your heart, your soul, your trust. Your every being. Only then will you know that they’ve pulled a good one on you. And at this point, you feel like a fool. How could you not have seen it? How could you not see through them? The signs were right there. Right under your nose. Yet you didn’t recognize them as such because you were so busy being important in the eyes on this person. You were so caught up in being the center of attention. You were too involved in being wanted and needed. The fact is its all bull.

We’ve all been at both ends of the game. At the end of the day we’ve all been used. And it doesn’t matter how much we all want to deny it but we’ve also been users as well. It’s a hard fact to swallow. It’s a hard confession to make.

The sad part of this all is not being the victim. The sad part is that these opportunists never think they are doing something wrong. To them, it’s a matter of getting by. Survival of the fittest. They need weak people to service their every need. Unfortunately there’s a lot of fools that exist. Well, we weren’t fools until we’ve been through their hands. They turn us into fools. The fool's fault is being too gullible to believe every word they say. The fool trusts. The fool believes. And that becomes the fool's downfall.
